The Mero field, located in ultra-deep waters about 180 km off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, is expected to produce its first batch of oil in 2021. 

According to Petrobras' plans, Mero will have four new FPsos deployed by 2025 which is the most in a single field. 

It is worth mentioning that, till now, the first two FPSOs in the Mero field were built / refitted by Chinese shipbuilders. 

This FPSO, will be named Marechal Duque de Castias, will be installed in the Mero field in the Libra block off the coast of Rio de Janeiro and will be able to process 180,000 barrels of oil and 12 million cubic meters of gas per day. 

The Mero 3 FPSO will be connected to No.15 Wells through a subsea facility consisting of rigid production and injection lines, flexible service lines and control nods 

The third FPSO of Mero field has been undertaken by MISC, and Contractor is CIMC Raffles.
